Eleanore Strong is an Aurora native with experience in both instrumental and vocal music.

Ms. Strong began her journey as a professional musician at age 13, as an organist for Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish while still a student at the parochial elementary school. As a student at Rosary High School, she served as both oboist and orchestral pianist for the symphony orchestra under the direction of Mary Beth McCarthy. She sang as a member of the Rosary Glee Club and was pianist for the Marmion-Rosary Jazz Band and Jazz Combo (placing in multiple competitions including one first-place win).

It was during her high school years that Ms. Strong got her start as a piano accompanist. She acted as an accompanist for the Rosary Glee Club, the Marmion Men's Chorus, and the Aurora University Pop Singers and Madrigal Choir. She was also a vocal coach and accompanist for voice students, and for solo instrumentalists at both Marmion and Rosary.

Ms. Strong is an alumna of the University of Notre Dame and earned a bachelor's degree in organ performance. She played solo recitals at Notre Dame and traveled to Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands to study and play many historic organs with her colleagues and professors.

While at Notre Dame, she studied voice and choral conducting. She sang at Notre Dame's Basilica of the Sacred Heart as a member of the Liturgical Choir, which provided music for many televised Masses on the Hallmark Cable Channel. She also accompanied the choir as an organist for holy days and feasts. Additionally, she served as a guest conductor for the Liturgical Choir and for other vocal ensembles at Notre Dame, served as Director of Music for St. Joseph Chapel at Holy Cross College, and was an organist and cantor at Notre Dame's Basilica of the Sacred Heart.

Ms. Strong has since served as an organist and cantor for many churches in the South Bend and Chicago areas. She has also been a choir member at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago. She sings as a soloist and in trios and quartets throughout the Chicago area, providing sacred music for the Catholic Mass, weddings, funerals, and other religious celebrations.

Ms. Strong was one of the accompanists for the Fox Valley Festival Chorus' 2017 Italy Tour, and is thrilled to return as their accompanist for the regular choral season.

She currently resides in Naperville.
