The chorus meets from September to mid-December, takes a short break, and then resumes in February through June. Our two main concerts are in December and June, but we also do a variety of smaller performances during each season.

 

Rehearsals are Monday evenings, 7:00-9:30 PM. New members are welcome at the start of a new season. The next season begins February 5, 2024; check our Facebook for updates. We rehearse at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 27 S. Edgelawn Dr, Aurora, IL. Although church space is used for rehearsals, the Chorus is not affiliated with any church denomination.

Dues are $75 per season. Music scores are provided at no charge, as long as all music is returned at the end of the season. You may be required to purchase concert attire.

Our members have varied musical backgrounds. Some have extensive experience, some have sung only in their church choir, while others haven't sung since their school days. There are no audition requirements to join the Fox Valley Festival Chorus, however, being a member of FVFC means making a commitment to maintaining its quality and sustainability.  Expectations of chorus members are:

• Learning the music (including practicing at home with vocal recordings)

• Attending rehearsals regularly

• Supporting fundraising activities that sustain the chorus

• Participating in all concerts
