For more than 25 years, Kirsten Currie Tait has taught and directed musical theatre and choirs in the Fox Valley area. Her talents have been shared in the East Aurora School District 131, Holy Angels School, and St. Rita’s School in Aurora. Currently Kirsten is the music director at St. Pius X Church in Lombard.

She is the founder and Artistic Director of the newest community theater in Aurora: City of Lights Theatre & Cabaret. She produces two musical-theatre cabarets (adult and youth) each year, as well as a full-scale musical with full orchestration.

 

She is most proud of her eight wonderful grown children and two grandchildren - all of whom love choir and musicals. Family and music are Kirsten’s greatest blessings, and she is eternally grateful for both. The Fox Valley Festival Chorus is delighted to have Kirsten as our rehearsal and performance accompanist.
